GoVisitHawaii Visits Hawaii

Bloggers love to meet up with other bloggers.  It’s always fun to finally get to sit down and talk story in person.  The first time I saw Sheila and Andy, it was at the airport as they were moving between islands.  The last time, we made an effort to spend at least a little more time and have a conversation that lasted more than just a couple of minutes.  🙂

Good luck trying to meet for breakfast at Aloha Tower!  But, all is not lost, Don Ho’s Island Grill opens at 10:00 a.m. so we managed it that way.

Andy and Sheila Beal

Andy and Sheila are the most charming couple!  They are wonderful people to begin with and they see Hawaii the way most of us feel about it — beautiful and perfect.  There is one minor, focal difference — they see the positives we often overlook and close their eyes to the things we ohumu (complain) about all the time.  This is not to say that they see things through rose-colored glasses; they just have slightly shaded lenses. 🙂  They are rapidly working their visits to Hawai’i down to a science and I, for one, appreciate their diligence.

Today they’re on their way home again and I just wanted to take a moment to send them off with cyber hugs, well wishes, and a lot of aloha as they make their way home to plan their next trip.  Have a safe trip home you two, hurry back — GoVisitHawaii already!  🙂   The coco puffs are on me!  If you’re between islands again you have to tell me — they are available “to go!”

It was about time they visited.

We’re touched by your post and blessed by your friendship!

It’s always a pleasure to get together with you when we visit Oahu.

They’ve been here several times, Keahi, but not always on Oahu. We were just lucky enough to be on top of things and find a way to make it happen! They even arranged a Tweet-up and I missed that too! It’s hard to do fun things when life gets in the way. Shucks! 🙁

I haven’t met any of my blogging friends offline, but it sure would be fun and interesting to do so!

    Aloha Evelyn,

Mahalo for the sweet post. What a blessing it is to have met the star of Honolulu and get a chance to meet face to face however brief it may be. 🙂

I wish I could get back more often but those pesky 14 hour flights and oh that thing called money seems to get in the way. 🙂

    With Our Aloha,
    Sheila & Andy

Right back at you, Andy! You are both so very gracious and you’re always so supportive. Sheila and I will have to plot to see what kind of mischief we can get into! 🙂

    Have a safe flight!

    Hi Melissa!

It’s an amazing feeling! It’s the separation part that I don’t like. I love the smell of flower leis but they always mean airports and melancholy emotions.

Let us know when you’re coming over for a visit and we’ll so something and loop you into our craziness! 🙂

Ms. Sheila, stars are in the sky and since you’re spending so much time there, you’re a lot closer than I! 😉 Your enthusiasm about the Islands is contagious and so appreciated. It’s always a great reminder of how lucky we really are. Big hugs!

Hi Evelyn! I prefer Fruity Pebbles, but Coco Puffs will do just fine. I will be there in about seven hours and am bringing my own bowl

LOL! Well, Bobby, I’m afraid you don’t add milk to these coco puffs — except to have a glass on the side — which does work quite nicely. 🙂 This variety is a pastry favorite in Honolulu. It’s like a cream puff but its filling is chocolate instead. Yummy stuff.

Hahahaha! Not only did I miss the boat, I couldn’t find the water. Your coco puffs sound much more delicious 😛
